It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Obadina Olafemi on February 15, 2019. Obadina was in his 76th year. He was born on June 28, 1945. A beloved husband and best friend of the late Majile Olafemi, with whom he shared 23 years of marriage.
Loving father of Ogunyemi Olafemi, Olahunu Olafemi, Ebunolawu Olafemi, Osunguiade Olafemi, and Kumbo Olafemi. He was the proud grandfather to Nayo Olafemi, Tiora Olafemi, Mutanta Olafemi, Danladi Olafemi, and Tora Olafemi. Dear brother-in-law of Ameenah Jafar and Efunyemi Auriel James. He was the son of the late Komorbei Olafemi and Shorembi Olafemi of Abiriba, Nigeria, predeceased by sister Amorinda Meji and his sister-in-law Alabi Fakorede.
Fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, cousins extended family and many good friends. He was a quiet and kind gentleman holding the highest integrity in business and in family life. He loved to the travel in the early years and really enjoyed time with family combined with a good meal and the slots at the casino. He liked watching a good basketball game, spending time in nature and loved following crime stories. Obadina was above all passionate and proud of all of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Family and friends may pay their respects at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 10520 N Florida Ave, Tampa, FL, 33612 on Sunday, Feburary 24, 2019 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Monday, March, 4, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
