Alice L. Schmidt1949 - 2014Alice L. Schmidt, 65 of Kenosha passed away on Thursday, May 29, 2014, at her home, after an extensive and courageous fight with cancer.Alice was born on Feb. 2, 1949, in Kenosha, the daughter of the late Russell J. and Anna (Pestka) Arneson. She was educated in the schools of Kenosha graduating from St. Josephs High School in 67. She attended Gateway Technical College earning a degree in nursing. Alice worked in assembly at A.M.C. / Chrysler for 35 years, and was a clerical nurse at St. Marys Hospital in Racine. She was a member of U.A.W. Local # 72. Her hobbies included gardening, painting, and most of all spending time with her family and friends. Alice married Kurt Schmidt on March 2, 1986, in Kenosha.Survivors include her husband Kurt; her three children, Gerald B. Billen Jr., Scott E. Schmidt, Jennifer A. Schmidt, as well as her grandson Cody R. Billen. Alice is also survived by her siblings, Ralph (Kathy) Arneson, Raymond (Diana) Arneson, Russ (Diane) Arneson.Visitation will be Friday, June 6, 2014, from 4-6 p.m. at Kenosha Funeral Services, with a Funeral Service to follow at 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorials and donations for cancer research to be made to the in Alices remembrance.Kenosha Funeral Services & Crematory8226-Sheridan Rd.
