Wicker, AliceAlice Wicker, 89, De Pere, passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2016. The daughter of the late John and Minnie (Hendricks) Cleven was born on July 8, 1927. She married Bernie Wicker on September 9, 1950 at St. Mary Catholic Church, where she remained a member all her life and was a member of the Christian Ladies Society. Alice worked for Fox Converting in De Pere, and was a poll worker for many years in De Pere as well. In her spare time, she enjoyed bowling, playing cards, flowers, baking (especially pies), watching birds, and watching Brewer games. Bernie and Alice also helped the community by delivering meals on wheels. Above all, she enjoyed her family and spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include her children: Dan Wicker, Kathy (Harry) Tease, Jim (Lisa) Wicker and John (Wendy) Wicker; grandchildren: Heather (Al) Schimberg and their daughter Maddie, Jason (Trina) Tease and their daughter Aubrey, Emily, Jessica and Nathan Wicker, Lauren and Colin Wicker; brother Don (Regina) Cleven; a sister Mary Schmidt; sisters-in-law Catherine Gossen, Caroline Kocken and Dorothy Wicker, as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Bernie, Alice was preceded in death by a daughter Sharon; brother Bob (Cy) Cleven; sister Blanche (Hank) Heezen; as well as in-laws: Dick (Shirley) Wicker, Bud (Dorothy) Wicker, Clarence Wicker, Sr. Theresa Wicker, Lauretta (Wilbur) Goffard, Genevieve Koslowski, Murella Wicker, Frank Gossen, Norb Kocken and Arnie Schmidt.Family and friends may visit at St. Mary Catholic Church, 4805 Sportsman Drive, Ledgeview, on Monday, November 14, from 9:00am until 10:45am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am Monday with the Rev. Richard Getchel officiating. Burial in Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery, De Pere.
