Anna Rosemarie Kroczaleski, age 69, of Sterling passed away on Monday, Feb. 14, 2011. She was born on May 10, 1941, the daughter of Stanley and Marjorie (Vashaw) Sczepkowski. Ann grew up on a small farm in Hale, where she worked hard, enjoyed a bountiful life creating childhood memories with her mother, father, grandpa, sister and brother. She married Donald J. Kroczaleski on May 12, 1962. Ann and Don made their home in Sterling, where they lovingly raised their two boys. Early on, Ann worked her way through Bayshire Beauty Academy and, later on, she continued her interest in helping and working with people by receiving her physical therapy assistant certification, working for West Branch Regional Medical Center. She also participated in Tae Kwon Do for 10 years. Ann enjoyed reading and being active, spending time outdoors with her grandchildren, working with her flowers, camping with family and friends. Ann took pleasure in filling her home and yard with her collection of angels and dolls. She was always willing to help anyone in need, reflecting her generous heart and giving spirit. Ann excelled as a wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed greatly.Ann is survived by her husband, Donald; sons, Roger of Sterling and Darren (Donna) of Standish; stepdaughter, Deborah (Timothy) Jasman of Pinconning; stepson, Dane (Betty) Kroczaleski of Pinconning; grandchildren, Adam, Eric and Abby Kroczaleski, Timothy and Jamie Jasman, DJ and Chad Kroczaleski; great-grandchildren, Jonah, Gabe, Eli and Molly Jasman, Hailey and Alyssa Jasman; her sister, Marjorie (Clyde) Neid of Omer and brother, Stanley Sczepkowski Jr. of Sterling; sisters-in-law, Irene Jurek, Betty and Maud Kroczaleski; brother-in-law, Paul (Monica) Kroczaleski; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter-in-law, Gretchen Kroczaleski; grandson, Matthew Kroczaleski; three brothers-in-law, Leonard, Jack and Ben; and one sister-in-law, Adeline Kroczaleski.A Celebration of Life was held at R. O. Savage Funeral Chapel in Standish on Friday, Feb. 18, with the Rev. David Jung officiating. Burial was in Sterling Cemetery, Sterling.
