Anthony "Tony" PezzoHighland, NY - Anthony "Tony" Pezzo, lifelong resident of Highland, passed away at his home on November 7, 2017. He was 78. The youngest son of Joseph Pezzo and Eleanor Rosito, he was born on July 30, 1939, the year The Wizard of Oz was released. Tony married Linda Mangold Pezzo in 1960, and spent his life working as a banker and owned many businesses in the Town of Lloyd. Some of his greatest pleasures include the time he spent owning and racing harness horses, frequenting Saratoga Race Course every summer, and going to casinos. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother, and always knew how to put a smile on the faces of his sons and grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Linda, his son Jimmy, and his siblings Maurice Pezzo, Lena Cifone, and Millie Lupo. Survivors include his son John Pezzo and wife Cathyrose, and his beloved grandchildren Leslie, Tonirose, Joey, Rosemarisa, and Nicole, and his sisters Mary Greenstone, Rose Miniaci, Francis Saitta, and Jean Suto. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday November 11 th 9:30am at St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church in Highland. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery.
