Fraijo, Arquimedes spirit soared from this earth on October 9, 2017. He was 64. Arquimedes was born on April 14, 1953, to Archie and Nellie Fraijo in Florence, Arizona. He grew up and spent most of his life in Scottsdale, Arizona. He graduated from Coronado High School in 1971 and went on to complete an apprenticeship in electrical work at I.B.E.W. Local 769. He proudly served as a Journeyman Lineman with Local 769 for over four decades. A legend in the field, his work took him on adventures all over the globe, from Arizona to Afghanistan. Arquimedes spirit loved adventure. The back roads of Mexico were his favorite retreat and they were not neglected by him, nor was the adventure of last-minute road trips with no set destination. He also made adventure of routine happenings. He made adventure out of everything; it was a talent. Perhaps his greatest talent was making others laugh, a skill that he continued to perfect through his final days. He was thinking of others, always. He was generous with his enthusiasm for life, his positivity and his happiness. He knew the value of laughter. He also loved the outdoors, music and good tequila. Arquimedes is survived by the love of his life and best friend, Denise; mother Nellie; sisters, Gloria Fraijo, Esther (Jerry) Breckenridge, and JoAnn Cano; his nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives; as well as many cherished friends that became his family. He is further survived by the countless stories he shared with all of us. He was predeceased by his father, Archimedes "Archie" Fraijo, whose smile he had inherited, and by his adored and adoring four-legged companion, Budget. A Celebration of Life for Arquimedes will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2017, from 1:00pm - 6:00pm at the V.F.W. Hall, 4853 East Thomas Road, Phoenix, Arizona.
