Arthur Brooks Sr., beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on October 23, 2024, in his home in Jackson, Louisiana, United States. He was born on December 17, 1946, to Leonard Brooks and Mary Spann.

Arthur married his loving wife, Mary I Brooks, in 1950 and they had 10 children together: Joyce Carter, Tonya Brooks, Erica Brooks, Tracie Brooks, Donavan Brooks, Patricia Johnson, Sheri Brooks, Damarkis Brooks, Linda Brooks, and Kendrick Brooks.

He was a dedicated employee at Policy Jury and retired after 50 years of service. Arthur was a graduate of Jackson School Complex high school, class of 1964.

Arthur had a passion for serving others and was known for his commitment to his role as an usher at New Charleston Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, children, and 10 grandchildren. Arthur Brooks Sr. will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
