Barbara Elaine Meredith went home to be with her Lord and Savior Christ on April 01, 2018, at her residence in Providence, RI at the age of 73. Barbara loved the Lord and was a devoted member of her church. She exemplified a true Christian woman.

Barbara was born on December 17, 1944, in Raleigh, North Carolina and lived most of her life in Providence, RI with her late husband, Jesse Carpenter, of 40 years.

She is survived by her only daughter, Vera Meredith; her grandchildren, Sonja Meredith Jesse Meredith; and great-grandchildren, Amani Boyd and Amarion Boyd. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Jenkins.
