Celebrating the Life of Bernard "Bud" IblingsBernard "Bud" Iblings went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 30, 2017. Bud was born on June 2, 1925 in New Leipzig, North Dakota and was 1 of 6 brothers and sisters.Bud was a resident of the Shreveport area for 49 years. He was a long time member of Willow Point Baptist Church. He joined Summer Grove Baptist Church in 1989 after his retirement from AT&T as a tool and die inspector.Bud was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Ruth Hochhalter Iblings, his great granddaughter, Lillian Maria Naranjo and, son-in-law, Brian Lee Chappell.He is survived by his three children, Paul Iblings and wife Therolyn of Benton, LA, Loren Iblings and wife Debbie of Lafayette, LA, and Judy Monteith and husband John of Houston, TX. He was blessed with ten grandchildren, Lee Anna Naranjo, Michelle Iblings, Mary Ann Ragsdale, David Iblings, Sarah Leonard, Katherine Blomgren, Brittany Kraft, Anna Garcia, Abby Bevolo, and Greg Chappell; and nine great-grandchildren, Nathan Naranjo, Ruth Ann, Rachel, Caroline and Cate Ragsdale, Jude and Samuel Leonard, C.J. Iblings, and Skylar Garcia.Services will be held on Friday, February, 3, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Centuries Memorial in Shreveport. Rev. Murry Hodge will officiate. Internment is also at Centuries.Pallbearers will be David Iblings, Greg Chappell, Nathan Naranjo, Jeramy Ragsdale, Carl Blomgren, and Mike Leonard.Honorary pallbearers will be Josh Kraft, Luis Garcia, and Brad Bevolo.Visitation is scheduled from 5:00-7:00 PM on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Centuries Memorial, 8801 Mansfield Rd. in Shreveport.
