It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Betty Dozier, who peacefully left us on January 1, 2024. Betty was born on May 13, 1951, in Nashville, Tennessee, to her loving parents Haywood and Clara May Edwards.

Betty was married to her beloved husband Gerald D Dozier on March 14, 1970. Together they raised their daughter Terri D Dozier, and Betty was a dedicated and loving grandmother to her 8 grandchildren.

Betty dedicated many years of her life to her work at the University of Chattanooga, where she eventually retired in 1989. In her free time, Betty enjoyed solving puzzles and word games, as well as spending quality time with her grandchildren.

On January 1, 2024, Betty passed away due to complications from COPD. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched throughout her lifetime. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
