Mrs. Betty Jane Prewitt Osborne age 82, of Creston, died on Monday, Oct. 31, 2016 at her home. Mrs. Osborne was born on Jan 2, 1934 in Elkton, MD to Reese and Agnes Roland Prewitt. Mrs. Osborne was preceded in death by husband, Ezekiel Odis Osborne, two sisters, Bonnie Weller, and Ruby Prewitt. Mrs. Osborne enjoyed sewing, gardening, canning, making baskets, going to yard sales and reading her Bible. She volunteered for the Riverview Community Center with their Meals on Wheels Program and was a first responder for the Creston Volunteer Fire Department. Betty was a member of Big Laurel Church of Christ in Christian Union.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, Nov. 3, 2016 at Big Laurel Church of Christ in Christian Union by Rev. Darrell Graybeal and Rev. Mike Farmer. The family received friends on Thursday, Nov. 3, 2016 at Big Laurel Church of Christ in Christian Union. Graveside services will be held on Friday, Nov. 4, 2016 at 10 am in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Osborne is survived by: two sons, Wayne Osborne & wife, Donna & Veryl Osborne, daughter, Roda Cox & husband Walter all of Creston, four sisters, Pauline Baker of Oxford, PA, Mary Hamm of Elkton, MD, Bernadine Hollifield of Elkton, MD, Carolyn Zeller of Oxford, PA, two brothers, Reese "Shorty" Prewitt of Dunnville, KY, and Herbert Prewitt of Rising Sun, MD. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 7 great great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
