Betty Michele Phillips

May 26, 1965 – July 21, 2026

It is with profound sadness, yet unwavering faith in God's promises, that we announce the passing of Betty Michele Phillips, who peacefully entered her eternal home on July 21, 2026, after a courageous battle with complications from cancer. Though her earthly journey has come to an end, the love she gave, the kindness she shared, and the legacy she leaves behind will live on forever in the hearts of those who loved her.

Born on May 26, 1965, in Mount Vernon, Illinois, Betty lived a life defined by compassion, strength, and an extraordinary dedication to caring for others. She had a servant's heart and an unwavering desire to ease the burdens of those around her. Whether she was caring for family, comforting a friend, or extending kindness to a stranger, Betty gave of herself without hesitation. Her gentle spirit, warm smile, and generous heart reflected the love of Christ in the way she lived each day.

Above all, Betty's greatest calling was her family. She was a devoted mother, a proud grandmother, a loving daughter, a cherished sister, and a loyal friend. She believed that the greatest gift she could give was her love, and she poured it abundantly into her children and grandchildren. Her home was a place of comfort, laughter, and acceptance, where everyone was welcomed with open arms. The memories she created and the love she shared will continue to guide her family for generations to come.

Betty was preceded in death by her beloved father, Jimmie Youngblood; her beloved brother, Marty Youngblood; and her brother, Justin Dixon. Though she deeply mourned their passing, we find comfort in believing they were waiting to welcome her home into the presence of the Lord.

She leaves behind a family who will forever treasure her memory: her loving sons, Parish Pflibsen of Peru, Dylan Pflibsen of Peru, and Jamil Phillips of Peru; her beloved daughter, Laura Phillips of Mendota; her devoted mother, June Dixon; her dear brother, Johnny Dixon; her nine precious grandchildren, who were the greatest joy of her life; as well as many cherished cousins, extended family members, and dear friends whose lives were forever enriched by her compassion and unconditional love.

Although our hearts are broken by her absence, we rejoice in the assurance that Betty's suffering has ended. We take comfort in knowing she has been welcomed into the presence of her Savior, where cancer holds no power, tears have been wiped away, and everlasting peace has begun. Her life was a beautiful example of grace, humility, generosity, and selfless love. Those gifts will remain alive in every life she touched.

Betty's greatest legacy is not measured by possessions or accomplishments, but by the love she freely gave. Her kindness changed lives, her faith inspired hope, and her unwavering devotion to her family created a foundation of love that will endure forever. Though we can no longer hold her hand, we will forever carry her in our hearts.
