Bunice L. WilliamsPEORIA - Bunice Lorraine Williams, 89, of Peoria, IL, passed away on Monday, January 30, 2017, at 8:50 a.m. at UnityPoint Health-Methodist.Bunice was born on May 17, 1927, in Brooklyn, New York, to Joseph and Lillian (Smart) Clarke. She worked for Gimbals Department store as a credit supervisor for over 20 years. She married Clifford Williams, to which two sons, Clifford George and Allan Bruce, were born. While in Brooklyn, she was a devoted member of St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church. In 2010, she moved to Peoria, where she joined St. Paul's Episcopal Church.She is survived by her son, Clifford; granddaughters, Alisha and Janae, and their mother, Desiree Boone; and great-grandson, Landen.She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Allan; two brothers; and one grandson.Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. on Saturday, February 11, 2017, at St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church, 1227 Pacific Street, Brooklyn, NY 11216. A visitation will be held from 7:30 to 9 a.m., prior to the service. Fathers Damus and Mose will officiate.
