Carl E. BergmanCarl E. Bergman, 69, of Lafayette, passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2017 at 5:38 a.m. at IU Health Arnett.  Carl was born on April 7, 1947 in Champaign, IL to the late Allen E. and E. Kathleen (Morgan) Bergman.  He was honorably discharged from the Marine Reserves.   He graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing from the University of Illinois.  Carl was the owner/operator of three businesses, First West Express, High Desert Carriage, and Morgan Coaches.  Carl enjoyed Karaoke, loved working on cars, model trains, and enjoyed boating.  He was also a member of the American Legion Post #11. Surviving is one daughter, Morgan E. Bergman of Albuquerque, NM, and 3 siblings, Eric (wife: Sue) Bergman of Allentown, PA, Kenneth (wife: Jane) Bergman of Champaign, IL, and Jimmy Bergman of Louisville, KY.  Also surviving, one sister-in-law, Treva Bergman, several nieces and nephews, and his companion, Judie Kinnersley. He is preceded in death by 2 brothers, Dave Bergman, and Kenneth Erick Bergman.Services will be held on Friday, March 3, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior at Simplicity Funeral Care with Father Rick Bergman officiating.  Simplicity Funeral Care entrusted with care.  Share memories and condolences at www.simplicity-funeralcare.com.
