DAYTON - Carol Walter, 78, of Cologne, Germany, passed away September 1, 2015. She was born on May 26, 1937 in Dayton, OH. She was preceded in death by parents Harold and Freda Kelley, a brother, Bill Kelley and a sister, Patricia Matheny. Carol is survived by husband Karl Heinz Walter of Cologne, Germany , son Daniel Emerich of Dayton, nephews Rick Cook of Jamestown and Mark Kelley of Centerville, nieces Amy Badger of Columbus, Stephanie Roach of Jamestown and Jennifer Owens of North Olmsted, OH; and a dear friend of over 50 years, Dolores Eakins of Xenia. Carol was employed for many years as a legal secretary at the law firm of Gibney, Stephan & Barrett in Xenia. Interment will be in Cologne, Germany, with a local gathering in Xenia at a later date at the family's convenience.
