Cathy Ann StrandMeridian Township Cathy Ann Strand, age 65, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2017.She was born on January 16th, 1951 in Detroit Michigan to Mike and Ann Rinaldi. She was a lifelong Michigan resident.Cathy was a graduate of Eastern Michigan University. She also received her Master's Degree in Criminal Justice at the University of Detroit.  She worked for several different agencies, but she met herfuture husband while working at the Lapeer County Probate Court.John and Cathy were married December 4, 1982. Cathy was a loving wife and mother and will be sorely missed.Cathy is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, John Strand, and her two sons, Michael, 33, and Matthew, 28.  Cathy is also survived by her brothers Carman and John Rinaldi, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 1730 E. Grand River Ave., East Lansing, MI with a rosary to begin at 7:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. January 12th at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 955 Alton Rd., East Lansing, MI with visitation one hour prior.Condolences and memories may be shared with the family at www.greastlansing.com.
