Callahan, 80, died on Friday, June 24, 2016, at United Hospital System – Kenosha Hospital Campus.A lifelong resident of Kenosha, he was born on Sept. 23, 1935, and was the son of the late Joseph and Amy (Rupp) Callahan.On Oct. 4, 1997, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, he was united in marriage to Nancy Kazin.He was employed as a mechanical engineer with Martin Peterson Sheet Metal Company.He is survived by his wife, Nancy Callahan; his three children, Kelly Callahan, Katie (Todd) Thomas and Danny Callahan; nine grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; three brothers, two sisters; three step-children, Kim Kiraly, Linda (Jeffrey) Paasch and Jodi (Peter) Aiello; nine step-grandchildren; three step great grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.A Memorial Service honoring Charles will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2016, at 10 a.m. at the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home. Full military honors will follow the service. A gathering of relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, from 9 a.m. until the time of the service.
