Holland, greatest wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many went to be with Jesus Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at her home while surrounded by her loving husband of 69 years and her children. She was born on June 25, 1931 to the union of C.E. and Helen L Scalf Hensley whom preceded her. She was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church and retired from Bike Athletic after several years as a supervisor. Charlsie enjoyed softball which she played as a teenager, played basketball in high school, and loved fishing and playing horseshoes with her husband Ellis and they were un-beatable!Preceded in death by sister's Maxine Jernigan and Ginger ButlerIn addition to her husband Ellis, Charlsie is also survived by her children Diana York and husband Rick; Danny Holland and wife Rivone, Connie Pierce, Jeannie Bates and husband Bryan. Grandchildren Steven York, Danny Holland, Zane and Zack Mathews; great grandchildren Rachel and Lane York and Trey Holland.The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Berry Highland South Funeral Home with the service to immediately follow at 7 p.m. with Pastor Doug Sager officiating.
