Steinfeldt, Claire J.Claire J. Steinfeldt, 64, Green Bay, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 28, 2016 at home. She was born on October 23, 1952 in Green Bay to the late William E. and Rosalie W. (Bushmaker) Steinfeldt. Claire began her career at the State Bank of De Pere and later retired after many years at Bank Mutual. Claire also enjoyed working at P.J.'s Collectibles and most recently, June Bugs Gifts and Christmas. In her spare time Claire enjoyed volunteering, especially for the Altrusa House of Green Bay where she would volunteer her time and baking talents during their semi-annual booyah and pie sale. She will also be sadly missed by the Brown County Fair Association and Wings Over Wisconsin where she also volunteered. Most of all, Claire loved her family and spending time with them no matter what the activity. Claire's family was very important to her and her love for them was apparent to all she met. She was an avid cook and loved baking especially with her family during the holidays. Her nieces and nephews will never forget the countless holidays Claire made so memorable with her fun loving personality and guarantee of enough food to feed an army. Claire will be missed by many, especially her family, including siblings: Carol (Joe) Nowak, Roger (Brenda) Steinfeldt, Mark (Sheila) Steinfeldt, Glen (Ann) Steinfeldt; nieces and nephews: Andrew Nowak, Peter (Colleen) Nowak, Amy (Matt ) Lemon, Katlyn (Mike) Lambrecht, Amanda Steinfeldt, Dillion Steinfeldt; great niece, Haley Lemon and great nephews, Carson Lambrecht and Fritz Nowak.Claire is welcomed into heaven by her parents, whom she greatly missed since their passing, and her two infant brothers, Gerard and Peter.Family and friends may visit at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Ave, De Pere, on Tuesday, November 1, 2016, from 4pm-8pm, with a parish prayer service at 7pm. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, November 2 at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 130 St. Matthew St., Allouez from 9:30am to 10:15am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Claire on Wednesday at 10:30am with Rev. Robert Kabat officiating. Interment will be in the Allouez Catholic Cemetery.
