God dispatched an Angel from Heaven with an invitation, to be put under the pillow of one of "His Chosen Ones" and it read, " My child you are Tired, Weary, and Worn, and now it's time for you to come Home"
Cynthia accepted the invitation on February 24, 2019.
A baby girl was born to Joe and Ella Hughes on Dec. 20, 1956, They named her Cynthia Louise Hughes. Cynthia attended HISD schools until moving to Califonia and became a Certified Nurses Aide in which she worked for over 30 years. Cynthia met and married Jerry Lee Salsberry Feb. 9, 1989, however no children were born to this union. Cynthia accepted Christ at a early age. She sought out different churches and denomoinations before becoming a member of New Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church. She remained under the leadership of Pastor David L. Smith until the time of her death. She served on the usher board as well as sang in the choir. Cynthia had a Kind and Loving Spirit and was loved by everyone. Cynthia never met a stranger and Always wore " A Kool-Aid" Smile.
Cynthia is proceded in death by her Father,The Late Great Joe "Guitar" Hughes, her Mother Ella Louise Hughes, her Husband Jerry Lee Salsberry, Sister Glenda Faye Hughes, Uncle James Ray Hughes, two Aunts: Clara Hughes Diamond and Lou Ada Davis.
She leaves to cherish her memory a loving Step-Mother Willie Mae Hughes, Ten sisters: Linda Randle (Albert), Naurcisus Lynn Parker, LaVeta Dixon (Eirvin), Ursula Hughes, Mashelle Hughes, and Claire Crane "Sister-Cousin" All of Houston. Faith Rhone, Eugenia Griffin, Dawn Harris All of California. CharlesElla Hughes of Seattle Washington. Six Brothers: Michael Lathan (Roxanne),of Nacogdoches Dino Sandifer ( Evelyn) of Houston. Thomas Hughes, DeLloyd Hughes, Calvin Hughes, Eric Ford all of California. She also leaves a loving Aunt Katy Lett (of Mississippi). A host of nieces, nephews and friends and the entire New Bethlehem Family.
