Vick, Dale L.Dale L. Vick, age 96, peacefully passed away and was called home to the Lord on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 in Marcellus, MI. He was born on July 6, 1921 to the late Alfred and Gladys Vick. Dale was raised in Hartland, WI and graduated from UW-Madison. After college, he taught at a boy's school in Kansas City, MO before returning to Hartland where he started his family. Dale later began his career at John Crane Packing Company and moved to Neenah. He worked there for over 40 years before retiring. Dale later started a successful part-time business, Rev Engineering Inc., and greatly enjoyed it. Dale proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy as a pilot and was stationed in the Aleutian Islands. Dale was a fantastic gardener and grew all sorts of vegetables. Throughout his life, fishing and being outdoors gave him a great deal of pleasure and memories. He especially enjoyed fishing with his children and going to Canada on fishing trips. Even in his old age, Dale was a successful deer hunter by being able to get out into the woods into his 90's. He loved spending time with his family and he will be dearly missed. Dale is survived by his children: Wendy (Donald) Halle, Christopher (Cathy) Vick, Jonathan (Chris Ahola) Vick; and grandchildren: Timothy Vick, Jordan Vick, and Lynda (Aaron) Bertling. He was preceded in death by his wife Shirley Vick and son Peter Vick.The Memorial Service for Dale will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 6, 2017, at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home, 205 W. Doty Avenue, with Rev. Lonnie Stine officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 12:30 p.m. until the hour of the service.
