Daphne L. LaFaive RACINE –Daphne L. (nee: Miller) LaFaive, 58, passed away on Sunday, November 25, 1012 at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare – All Saints. She was a life long resident of Racine, born on February 4, 1954, the daughter of the late Albert and Helene (nee: Eichler) Miller. Daphne was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church for many years and the Volunteer Center of Racine County. Christmas was her favorite time of the year. She loved all kinds of crafts, including making wreaths and scrap booking with her grandchildren. Daphne enjoyed shopping and made sure no one was forgotten at Christmas time. She never forgot a birthday or special occasion and you could count on a special handmade card. Daphne also loved camping. Surviving are her children; Justin Jesse-James (Barbara) LaFaive and Catherine (James) LaFaive-Markstrom; four grandchildren; Christopher, Andrew, Heather and Sammuel; sisters, Marie Miller, Jessie Madden, Dee Dee (Richard) Umek and Helene ‘Charlie’ (Oscar) De Leon; a brother, John (Bonnie) Miller and fiancé Clay Bray. Daphne is further survived by the father of her children, James E. LaFaive, Jr., nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Andrew Marksrtrom. Funeral Services will be held at Messiah Lutheran Church, 3015 Pritchard St on Friday, November 30, 2012 at 12 p.m. There will be a visitation at the church on Friday from 10 a.m. until time of service. Daphne will be laid to rest at West Lawn Memorial Park. Memorials to the family would be appreciated.
