Debra "Debbie" HiggsMUNCIE - Debra "Debbie" Higgs, passed away Thursday, January 6, 2017 at her residence.She was born on August 1, 1970 in Winchester the daughter of Ernest Higgs and Diana Taylor.      Debbie was a 1988 graduate of Wapahani High School. She started truck driving as a teenager, which made her a 5th generation truck driver and continued to do so for twenty-seven years, even becoming the owner and operator of Higgs Trucking.Debbie is survived by her loving daughter, Brooke; caring grandmother, June Lewis; her significant other of twenty-six years, Carl Hodges; sister, Cindy Skeen (Paul Hanson); brother, Ernest Higgs II( Amanda); her step-mother, Susie Roberts (Mike); her two grandchildren, Nevaeh Higgs and Calum Higgs, and long time friends, Deb Elam, Teresa Musick, and Robin Fields.She was preceded in death by her parents.Memorial services are 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at the Parson Mortuary with Pastor Tim Overton officiating.Friends may call from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary.Online condolences may be made to the family in care of www.parsonmortuary.com
