Diane AlexanderDowagiac, MIage 75, passed away on September 6, 2017 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She was born on March 19, 1942 in St. Clair, Michigan, the much loved daughter of the late George Dale Ownby and Gertrude Marie (Elliot) Walker. Diane was also preceded in death by her husband, Timothy McHugh. Diane is survived by her children, Dale Alexander, Mark Alexander, Kim Alexander and Wendy Alexander (Jassen) Glaser as well as 6 grandchildren and one great-grandchild, as well as her sister Arliss (Marshall) Sage, Kenneth (Maxine) Ownby and Gerry (Mary) Ownby. Diane worked for many years at Sheller Globe in Niles. She was an avid biker and belonged to Sisters in The Wind Women's biker group. In her early years she was an accomplished equestrian and trail rider and creative seamstress.Memorial Services will be held 2 PM on Sat, September 30 at the Yore Community Church. 2690 Yore Avenue, Sodus, MI 49126. Sisters in the Wind & family members will be having a small Memorial Bike Ride to the service in her honor. She would have loved that.
