It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Domingo C. Cavazos, a beloved father, grandfather, husband, and friend. Domingo peacefully passed away on August 2, 2026, surrounded by his family, at the age of 64.
Born on December 2, 1961 in Nogales, Mexico, Domingo grew up with a passion for the outdoors and a deep love for his community. After immigrating to the United States for better opportunities, Domingo started working in the cotton fields. Then started his career in construction and moved up where he coordinated the construction of prisons and the Phoenix basketball building downtown Phoenix.
Outside of work, Domingo was an avid outdoorsman who loved hiking, fishing, and camping with his family. He spent countless weekends in the mountains, passing on his love for nature to his children and grandchildren. He also volunteered regularly at his church by the border, where he served as a deacon and mentor to many younger members of the congregation.
Domingo is survived by his devoted daughter, Rosalinda Jaramillo; his eight grandchildren, Anthony, Veronique, Roberto, Cirilia, Lillianna, Maddison, John and Giselle; and his great grand daughter, the joy of his life, Emiliana.
