Domingo DeLaCruz OrtizSan AngeloDomingo D. Ortiz Sr., 76, of San Angelo, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by family, on March 3, 2017. A rosary service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, March 6, in Johnson's Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 7, in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be Joe Perez, Abel Guzman, Michael Nunez, John Nuncio, Adrian Villa, Antonio Valdez Jr., John Perez, and Mark Nuncio. Arrangements are by Johnson's Funeral Home. Domingo was born on July 21, 1940 in Port Lavaca, Texas to Rafael and Eloisa Ortiz. He married the love of his life, Olivia Ortiz, in 1982 and spent 28 wonderful years with her until her passing in 2011. Domingo was also preceded in death by his parents, brothers Rafael Jr. and Santos Ortiz; and one sister, Elida Acosta. He is survived by his children, Doris Ortiz, Darlene Perez and husband Manuel, Donna Villa and husband Victor, Domingo Ortiz Jr. and wife Amy, Dennis Ortiz and wife Marisol, Linda Ortiz, Teresa Munoz and husband Vincente Jr., Yolanda Nuncio and husband Henry, Felicitas Arocha, Roger Guerrero, Leticia Lujan and husband Jimmy, and Guillermo Torres and wife Barbara. He is also survived by 29 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, as well as many other relatives and friends. Domingo did a lot of carpentry work, and in his spare time enjoyed making different crafts out of wood. He loved to watch the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Longhorns Football, as well as the Texas Rangers.
