Donald Morris Donald Morris, 74, husband of Marilee Crick Morris, of Beaufort, SC, died Thursday, December 24, 2015 at his residence. The family will receive friends on Monday, December 28, 2015 from 5-7pm at Anderson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at 2pm in The Baptist Church of Beaufort with interment in the churchyard. Mr. Morris was born on August in Florence, SCand grew up in Georgetown, SC. He is the son of the late Morrel and Hazel Morris. He had 3 siblings; the late Bobby Morris and a brotherGreshumMorris and Patricia Turpin. Donwas a member of The Baptist Church of Beaufort and served our countryproudlyin the US MarineCorpsinmultiple foreignposts. He had a full life while married to his high school sweetheart for 55 years. They traveled together in Airstream caravans acrossNorth America including Alaska. He was a 32ndDegree Mason, a former Sertoma Club President, a lifetime member of the Beaufort Yacht club, and owned and operated Realty companies for almost 30 years.He loved offshore fishing, hunting, and playing golf. All will remember himfor his humor and his interest in new adventures throughout life. Most important to him were his survivingwife,Marilee, theirtwo sons, Bradand BrettMorris, lovelydaughter-in-lawsLisa and Jean,andhisgrandchildren, Taylor, Emma, Matthew and Ava. Don was known by all,as atrue southern gentleman and aman thatalwayswouldfollow through on his commitments. He showed great devotion tohis wife until his last breath.While his body is no longer needed and his soul has been lifted, the family legacyof love that heleft will live forever.
