Doris M. RayHolt - Doris M. Ray, 89, of Holt, Mi passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on October 31st at 10:33 AM after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. Doris was born on April 20th 1928 in Lansing MI. She was married in Lansing on June 18th 1949 to Thomas C. Ray Sr. She earned a nursing degree at LCC and worked as an LPN at Lansing General Hospital until she retired in 1990. She was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Lucille Hart, her brother, James D. Hart, her husband, Thomas C. Ray Sr. and son-in-law, Mark A. Watson. She is survived by stepson, Thomas C. Ray Jr. (Phyllis), daughters, Cynthia L. Piper (Ted) & Jamie D. Watson and her beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren. Doris's family and friends meant everything to her. She loved cooking for them and always welcomed their visits with open arms and love. She will be deeply missed by all that knew her. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 3, 2017 at 12:00pm at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home, Lansing with interment to follow at Rose Cemetery in Bath.
