Dorothy M. FrielZANESVILLE: Dorothy M. Friel, 88, of Zanesville died at 10:21 A.M. on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. She was born on June 10, 1924 in Cherry Tree, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late James and Verona Fuller Totten.She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Nancy Hagen Church Circle, Bethesda Guild Volunteer and Zanesville Country Club. Dorothy was a homemaker, devoted wife and had a twenty year career representing World Book. She also was a coordinator for Klothes for Kids, enjoyed playing golf, bridge and exercising. She found great joy in attending all activities of her grandchildren. Surviving are her husband of 64 years, Myles B Friel, whom she married January 15, 1949, two sons, Dr. Robert (Linda) Friel and James (Carol) Friel, both of Zanesville; five grandchildren, Kevin Friel, Lindsay Friel, Jordan Friel, Jennifer Friel, Patrick Friel. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Wilbur Totten and Harry Totten. Friends and family may call from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville where funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 6, 2013 with Rev. Steve McGuire officiating.
