Steffek, Dorothy G.Dorothy G. Steffek, 93, Arpin, died on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at Bethel Center, Arpin. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Pittsville, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00 am on Thursday until service time at the church. Rev. Gary Markworth will officiate. Buchanan / Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family. Dorothy was born on November 1, 1923 in the Town of Richfield, Wood County to George and Mary (Strope) Feldt. She was united in marriage to Stephen Steffek on June 3, 1944 at Trinity Lutheran Church, (Klondike) Marshfield. He died on February 7, 2013. Following their marriage, the Steffek's moved to Woodstock, IL, returning to the Town of Richfield, Wood County, in 1948 where they farmed for 40 years. They retired in 1988.She is survived by her daughter, Berneice "Bee" (William) Herzberg of Black River Falls and her son, Wally (Julie) Steffek of Arpin. She is also survived by 3 grandsons and 5 great grandchildren. Her grandsons are Tracy (Marti) Herzberg of Black River Falls; Troy (Elizabeth) Herzberg of Melrose and their children, Zachary, Emily and Eric; Cory (Catherine) Steffek of Houston, TX and their daughters, Olivia and Hannah. She is further survived by a brother, Marvin (Ellen) Feldt of Beloit, a sister, Lorraine Campolo of Union Grove, a sister-in-law, Virginia Steffek of Chetek and many dear nieces and nephews.
