It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dragica Kremenovic, who passed away peacefully on November 10th, 2016 at T.B.R.H.S.C. Dragica was born on April 8th, 1935 in Jazovac, Yugoslavia and moved to Canada in March of 1959 with her infant son, to be reunited with her husband, Luka Kremenovic. Luka and Dragica had known each other since they were toddlers, and eventually married in 1956. Dragica spent over 20 years working for the City of Thunder Bay at Dawson Court Home for the Aged. While living in their home in Thunder Bay, Dragica was best known for two things: her garden and her cooking. Every summer, she would have a magnificent fruit and vegetable garden, that she used in all of her dishes and baked goods. She is survived by her husband Luka, son Mile, daughter-in-law Mandy, granddaughters Aleksandra, Mara, Gina and great-grandson Jaxson. She also leaves behind many cherished nieces, nephews and dear friends. Dragica was predeceased by father Nikola, mother Boja, brothers Mile, Peter, sisters Dara, Milica, and Mara. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in the Sargent & Son Funeral Chapel, 21 N. Court Street, with Rev. Lubomyr Hluchaniuk presiding. The interment service will follow in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation for friends will be held on Monday, November 14th from 6-7 p.m. in the Sargent & Son Chapel where Panachyda will begin at 7 p.m. Donations can be made to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation in Dragica's honour.On-line condolences may be made at www.sargentandson.com
