DWIGHT LUTZ
BLUFFTON — Dwight I. Lutz, age 90, died at 9:55pm, on Tuesday, November 29, 2016, at Mennonite Home, Bluffton, Ohio.
He was born on September 20, 1926, in Lima, Ohio, to Irwin Henry and Ethel (McClure) Lutz. They both preceded him in death.
On June 24, 1951, he married Donna Jean Fruchey, who preceded him in death, January 16, 2015.
Dwight is survived by two daughters: Janet Lee (Edward) Seward of Lima and Susan Kay (Tom) Foster of Harrod; nine grandchildren: Aaron (Heidi) Seward, Heidi (Rich) Titus, Collin Seward, Sara Kindle, Rachel (Jared) Huffman, Kyle (Janine) Kindle, Brittony (Tom) Wright, Leslie Foster and Joshua (Michelle) Foster, and seven great grandchildren: Devan, Oakley and Dalen Foster, Gemma Lydia and Jaxon Huffman and Ewen Titus.
He was preceded in death by one brother: Walter (Phyllis) Lutz, one sister: Phyllis L. (Robert) Boyer, and one son in-law: Robert Kindle.
Dwight retired after 21 years, from Bluffton High School, he had previously worked for Davidson Enamel Products and West Ohio Gas both of Lima.
He was a member of the Columbus Grove Christian Church. Dwight was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during WWII. He was a member of the Bowers Slusser American Legion Post #516, of Columbus Grove. He enjoyed fishing.
Services will begin at 11:00 am, on December 5, 2016, at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove. Pastor Geoff Eubank and Chaplain Bill Herr will officiate. Burial will follow in Truro cemetery, where Military Rites will be conducted by the combined Color Guard of the American Legion and VFW Columbus Grove Posts.
Family and friends may call from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00pm, on Sunday, December 4, 2016, and from 10:00 am until time of service on Monday at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove.
