Edith L. Vance99, of Indianapolis, passed away on January 13, 2017. She was born on June 15, 1917 to the late William and Lula Meisel in Moral Township, Indiana. She was a member of Zion UCC for over 60 years, she made beautiful quilts, loved flowers and spending time tending to her garden. She was a dedicated mother who raised 5 daughters, who later began working as a lunch lady at Creston Middle School. She cherished the many friendships she made throughout her life.She leaves behind her daughters; Judith Becker (Kevin), Patricia Stevens, Nancy Arnold, Debra Vance, and Stephanie Pelko, 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and her sister-in-law Martha Horner. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion S. Vance, her parents, and two sisters; Betty Howell, and Ruth Parry.A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 18th, 2017 with visitation one hour prior on Wednesday and on Tuesday from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Flanner and Buchanan- Washington Park East.Memorial contributions may be made to the Zion UCC, 8916 E Troy Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46239.
