Funeral for Esther Laverne Yates, 89, of Spring, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2016, at Laird Funeral Home. Burial will be in Gravel Ridge Cemetery. Mrs. Yates died on Sunday, Nov. 13, 2016 in Houston. She was born on Oct. 10, 1927, in Nacogdoches. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
