Paholke, Esther "Lois"Esther "Lois" Paholke, age 79 of Gillett, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, July 29, 2017. Lois was born on November 17, 1937 to the late Frederick and Evelyn (Petersen) Wolford. She graduated from Gillett High School with the Class of 1957. Lois married Allen Paholke on June 1, 1957. She was an active member of Christ Lutheran Church in Hintz since 1957, where she was a Sunday school teacher for many years and a member of the Ladies Aid. Lois loved to sew, crochet, and make crafts. She also greatly enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were her pride and joy.Lois is survived by her husband of 60 years, Allen of Gillett; children, Reverend Michael (Kathy) Paholke of Suring, Randall (Pauline) Paholke of Gillett, Annette (Douglas) Yanke of Green Bay, Roger Paholke of Gillett, and Carol Pederson of Green Bay; a sister, Doris (Gary) Hischke of Suring; a brother, Kenneth (Phyllis) Wolford of Hales Corners; 3 sisters-in-law, Elaine (Claire) Hertwig of Gillett, Sandra (James) Hanson of Gillett, and Linda (William) Bublitz of Lena; 9 grandchildren, Adam (Miranda) Paholke, Aliza (Michael) Buyarski, Amy Paholke, Katie Paholke, Tyler (special friend Kristen) Paholke, Sarah (Reverend Jonathan) Christensen, Daniel (Rachel) Yanke, Mark Yanke, Casey (Sarah) Janke; 12 great-grandchildren, Mason, Parker, Evelyn, Henry, Peter, Ivy, Ezra, Zoe, Scarlett, Aria, Graycin, and Everleigh; and step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.She was preceded in death by her parents; mother-in-law and father-in-law; 3 brothers-in-law; a sister-in-law.Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at Gruetzmacher Funeral Home in Suring from 4 pm until 8 pm. Visitation will resume on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at Christ Lutheran Church in Hintz from 12 pm until the funeral service at 2 pm with Pastor Paul Scheunemann officiating. Interment will follow in Christ Lutheran Church Cemetery.A special thank you to the staffs of St. Vincent Hospital's 6th Floor ICU, Select Specialty Hospital in West Allis, St. Mary Hospital's 3rd Floor ICU and 5th Floor, and Unity Hospice for the care given to Lois. Further thanks to Palliative Care Nurse, Danielle, for the compassion she showed to Lois and her family.
