Everett Anthony Townes Sr., son of Barbara and the late Benjamin Townes, was born on October 27, 1962, in Baltimore, Maryland. He departed this life on February 28, 2019.
Everett was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System, receiving his high school diploma from Walbrook Senior High School, where he was drum major.
After completing high school, he gained employment for the Department of Juvenile Services at Thomas J.S. Waxter's Children's Center and Charles H. Hickey school. He also served as a security guard for multiple businesses.
He united in marriage to Gail Key, sharing three children: Everett Jr, Randolph, and Adream, later ending in divorce. He later remarried to Donzella Jennings, sharing one child: Evan. He separated from Donzella and relocated to Thomasville, GA where he met Hazel Johnson.
Everett loved to sing and tell jokes. His voice was deeper than Barry White’s and his jokes were quick and witty like Richard Pryor.
Everett always told his children to “Learn from my mistakes and always be better than what I am.”
He is survived by estranged wife: Donzella, His loving children: Tanielle, Everett Jr., Randolph, A’Dream and Evan Townes. 17 grandchildren and one great grand; mother, Barbara Townes, two brothers; Benjamin Jr., and Brian Townes, one sister; Dora Townes. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, long time friend Dawn Lewis and loving companion, Hazel Johnson
Preceded in death by father Benjamin Townes Sr. (2015) and sister Rochelle Swann (2007).
