Frank L. Boswell, 82 of Crystal River passed away Thursday November 10, 2016 at his home. He was born on Chair Island near Crystal River to the late Frank "Tee" and Lillian Boswell on November 25, 1933. He was of the Christian faith. Frank graduated from Crystal River High School and was proud to be a member of the State Champion 6 man Football Team coached by the late Doc Hudson. After graduation he joined the
US Air Force and served our country abroad for many years retiring from the Armed Air Force Exchange Service in 1989. Upon his retirement, he returned to Crystal River and became a commercial fisherman until the gill net ban. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son John J. Dryden, a daughter Susan L. Aldrich, a brother Alvin Boswell and a sister Jean Boswell. He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years Caroline "Mousie" Boswell, sons; Frankie Boswell, Frank "Tiger" Boswell, III (Teresa), daughters; Janet Smiley and Gail Boswell, a brother Derl DeBusk, sisters; Ruthie Snyder, Nadine Truxton and Linda Goodman, grandchildren; William G. Aldrich, Cynthia L. Aldrich, Nathan R. Dryden, Brenda K. Boswell, Frank L. Boswell IV, Megan D. Smiley and Patrick A. Smiley, great grandchildren; Taegan, Leonella and Porter Jolly, a nephew Bobby Snyder and his wife Marcia. A memorial service will take place at 11 A.M. on Thursday November 17th in the Strickland Funeral Home Chapel of Crystal River. Inurnment will military honors will follow at the Florida national cemetery. In lieu of flowers please consider a memorial donation to the Wounded Warrior Project or a .
