Frank CalvertWASHINGTON - Franklin D. Calvert, 80, of Washington passed away at 6:35 a.m. Tuesday, Nov 8, 2016, at his residence.He was born on September 15, 1936, in Peoria, the son of the late Burvil F. and Hazel C. Wageman Calvert. He married Joyce A. Ferguson on August 16, 1959, in Beardstown, IL, and she survives.Also surviving are one son, Mark (Sally) Calvert of Cameron, IL; and one daughter, Cynthia (David) Workman of Washington. Further surviving are three granddaughters, Jennifer (Rusty) Duckworth, Sarah (Tyler) Adkins and Natalie Workman; along with one brother, Glen (Cindy) Calvert of Metamora, IL.Frank was an honorably discharged U.S. Marine veteran. He worked his way up from being an account clerk at LeTourneau-Westinghouse, last working as an International Credit Manager, before retiring in 1999 from Komatsu.Frank was a confirmed member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Washington, where he served as president of the Church Council and was a Cub Scout Leader. He was also a member of Washington Lions Club and Junior Achievement in Peoria and taught business economics at Woodruff High School in Peoria.He was a loving and adoring father and grandfather and will be missed greatly by his family.A funeral service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday, November 11, 2016, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Washington. Pastor John N. Bates and Pastor Dick Hanson will officiate. Visitation will be Thursday, November 10, 2016, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington. Further visitation will be one hour prior to his service at the church. Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery in Washington.In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name may be given to the St. Mark's Lutheran Church Parish Nurse Ministry.To share notes of condolences with the family, visit
