Ostertag, FrankFrank J. Ostertag, age 94, of Oshkosh passed away on Monday January 30, 2017 at Evergreen Health Center in Oshkosh. Frank was born on July 16, 1922 the son of Michael and Laura (Bauer) Ostertag. Frank served his Country in the U.S. Army Air Force during
WWII. He married Sylvia Krings on July 18, 1953 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Winneconne. He was employed at Oshkosh Paper for many years. He was a faithful member of St. Jude Parish (St. Vincent Church). He was an avid sports fan, he loved watching the Packers, Bucks, Brewers and Badger games. He is survived by one son; Gary (Special friend Colleen DiCosimo) Ostertag of Oshkosh. Two daughters; Debra (Harvey) Boushele and Donna (Greg) Munsch both of Oshkosh. One sister; Jane Panske of Oshkosh. Four grandchildren; Amy Boushele, Matt (Mandy) Munsch, Eric and Adam Munsch. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Sylvia on December 3, 1995, two brothers and five sisters. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at 11 am at St. Jude Parish (St. Vincent Church on the corner of Oregon & South Park). Father Matt Simonar and Father William Van De Kreeke will be the celebrants. Visitation will be held on Wednesday at the the church from 10 am until the time of Mass. Committal services will be held at Lake View Cemetery with Graveside Military Rites to follow. In Lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established in Frank's name.
