SIDNEY — Frank Joseph Tebbe, 86, of Sidney, Ohio, passed away at the Pavilion in Sidney on Sunday, Nov. 27, 2016, at 7:30 a.m. He had been ill with cancer for three months.
He was born on Nov. 23, 1930, in Sidney, Ohio, the son of Frank L. and Elenora Kinninger Tebbe, and they are deceased. On Nov. 18, 1950, he married Roberta Jean Whitehead and she survives in Sidney along with a daughter, Debra Jean O'Connor and husband Paul, of Kettering, Ohio and a grandson, Robert Fowler of Dayton, Ohio. Three sisters, Ruth Parker, Martha Baker and Irene Thomas and two brothers, Arthur Tebbe and Robert Tebbe are deceased.
Mr. Tebbe was a pattern maker and owned Tebbe Pattern Works in Sidney at one time. He was a United States Army corporal veteran in the Korean War. He was a member of the Sidney Knights of Columbus where he was a former Grand Knight and a member of the Sidney American Legion and a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church in Sidney.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, Dec. 1, 2016, at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Angels Catholic Church with Rev. James Riehle. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery, Sidney. Friends may call at Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home on Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2016, from 4 to 7 p.m. A Knights of Columbus prayer service will be held at 6:45 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lehman High School Tuition Fund, 2400 St. Mary's Ave., Sidney, Ohio 45365 or the Holy Angels Elementary School Tuition Fund, 120 E. Water St., Sidney, Ohio 45365. Envelopes will also be available at the funeral home.
