FRED R. RADLOFF Fred R. Radloff of Wilmington died on November 14th, one day short of is 90th birthday. Services will be held at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wilmington at a later date. Mr. Radloff was born on November 14, 1926. He was the middle of three sons born to Reverend and Mrs. Paul F. Radloff in Wauseon, Ohio. He attended school in Wauseon for 12 years, graduating in 1944. He then served in the Navy during the remainder of World War II. After the war, Mr. Radloff enrolled at Capital University in Columbus, Ohio where he majored in Biology with a teaching minor. After graduating in 1950, he began his teaching career in Utica, Ohio, and subsequently taught in Birmingham, Michigan for 31 years. He then moved to Wilmington where he spent his retirement years. Fred will be remembered for his active membership at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Wilmington. As a young man, Fred excelled at basketball, being recognized as an all-Ohio player and being inducted into the Capital University Athletics Hall of Fame. In his retirement, he enjoyed playing golf with his friends. Fred was preceded in death by his parents and his older brother, Paul. Left to remember with gratitude the life he lived among us are his brother Ralph and sister-in-law Mary, eight nieces and nephews, friend Nancy Rosenkrans, members of his church family and many, many friends.
