Fredrick S. LeePEKIN - Fredrick S. Lee, age 72, of Pekin, passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at UnityPoint Health Methodist in Peoria.Fredrick was born on July 27, 1944 in Peoria, IL to Fredrick Lee and Doris (Reynolds) Dunlevy. He was married to Rose Brown in August of 1972 and later to Roberta Calhoun in 1983.Surviving are his fiancé, Carol Randall, of Pekin, IL; his four sons, Scott (Tamara) Lee of Metamora, IL, Curtis (Rachel) Lee of Quincy, IL, Matthew Lee of Pekin, IL and Adam Lee of Peoria, IL; his two daughters, Jennifer (Jared) Tracy of Simi Valley, CA and Chenoa (Jason) Kuester of Mahomet, IL and 11 grandchildren with one on the way. Also surviving are his brother, Reg (Susan) Lee of Bartonville, IL; two sisters, Melanie (Chet) Sullivan of Lebanon, IN and Gail (Matthew) Jaeger of East Peoria, IL; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Bud Dunlevy.Fredrick taught for District 150 for 10 years retiring in 1998. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, where his love of music transformed into more than a hobby. Peorians knew him as Freddie Lee, Jr., The Piano Man. Like his father, he lightened the loads of many who listened to him play. He performed for many places throughout central Illinois and Missouri, including The Grill, Jim's Steakhouse, Sky Harbor, The Four Seasons Lodge and he performed for a time with Monte Davidson while in Missouri. He was also a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Peoria, a former member of the Rotary Club in Peoria and he had been a volunteer with TAPS.Visitation will be on Sunday, December 18, 2016 from 3pm to 6pm at The Wilton Mortuary. Services will be held on Monday, December 19, 2016 at 10am also at The Wilton Mortuary in Peoria. Rev. Karl Eckhoff and Rev. Daniel Bennett will be officiating.
