Freeda Thompson of Hanover, Maryland, passed away on January 11, 2026, just one day shy of her 88th birthday.

Freeda was a beloved member of her community, known for her infectious laughter and warm presence. She dedicated her time and energy to helping others as a member of the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority organization.

When she wasn't volunteering or spending time with her family, Freeda could often be found in the kitchen, whipping up delicious meals for her loved ones. Her culinary skills were unmatched, and her Sunday dinners will be sorely missed.

Freeda leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will be carried on by her three children: Jeffrey, Angela, and Kim. She also leaves behind eight adoring grandchildren who will always cherish the memories they shared with their grandmother.

Although Freeda may no longer be with us, her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Rest in peace, dear Freeda. You will be forever missed.
