Gail Evans was born February 9, 1946 and entered eternal rest on April 19, 2019. She was 73 years old. She was a lifelong resident of Edgard, LA and attended St. John The Baptist Catholic Church faithfully her entire life. She was the daughter of the late Ramos and Francois Ernestine Mitchell. She is survived by her three sisters: Priscilla (Helmuth) Rousseve, (Barbara (Ferdinand) Sylvain, and Ann Mitchell. One Great Aunt Philomena 'Felo" Lumar, and her nieces Patrice Dawson, Rhonda Pursely, and Shelly Narcisse. She assisted in raising her nephews Frederick "Freddy" Mitchell, Martin Sylvain, Rodney Mitchell, and Matthew Rousseve. Marlene was beloved by her extended family George Ann Graugnard Peters, Jack Graugnard, Lindsey Graugnard Schafer and the late Camille B. "Mike" Graugnard,. She leaves behind a host of great nieces, nephews, friends and relatives. All are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church, 2361 Highway 18, Edgard, LA 70049 on Saturday, April 27th, 2019 at 10:00 am with viewing at 8:00 AM and recitation of the rosary at 8:30 AM.
