Gerald Raye was born on February 10, 1985 to the late James Raye and Millie Smith in Los Angeles, California.

He received his education in Los Angeles, California attending Horace Mann Middle School and Manual Arts Senior High School. 

Gerald passed away on July 22, 2020 of complications related to Covid-19. He will never be forgotten because his love and memories will live on.

His brother Jason Raye preceeded him in death. He leaves to cherish his brother Leland Raye (wife Marlee Raye), his life partner Rachel King, and son Elijah King Raye.

Due to social distancing guidelines because of the ongoing Covid-19 Pandemic a Memorial Service will be held in early August for immediate family only.
