Gordon Scott BROWN Obituary

Jan 05, 1937 - Mar 02, 2017

This obituary is administered by:
BROWN, Gordon ScottGordon Scott Brown was born on January 5, 1937 in Bassano, Alberta. Gordon passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the Strathmore Hospital on March 2, 2017. Gordon was predeceased by his beautiful wife Ellen on February 12, 2012 and numerous brothers and sisters over the years. Gordon is survived by his sons Randy (Jamie), Dale (Jill) and Murray (Daun), his grandchildren Cody, Cole, Kyle, Cameron, Niki and Chad, his great-grandchildren Ryleah and Josh, his sister Ester Hood and brother Doug Brown. Gordon worked many jobs over the years in Hussar and surrounding area. His most recent job, we feel, was "Mayor of the Sagewood Agecare Centre" in Strathmore. After a brave fight with cancer, we know Gordon is smiling down on us, and he is happy to finally reunite with the love of his life and best friend, Ellen. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made directly to the Hussar Cemetery (P.O. Box 100, Hussar, Alberta T0J 1S0) or The Cancer Society (#200, 325 Manning Rd. NE, Calgary, T2E 2P5). Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at Hope Community Covenant Church (245 Brent Blvd., Strathmore) at 1:00 p.m. To send condolences, please visit Gordon's obituary atwww.wheatlandfuneralhome.ca
