Longtime Wasilla, Alaska, resident H. Lucile Crosby passed away on Oct. 17, 2016.A memorial service will be held at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 501 East Bogard Road in Wasilla, on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2016, at 2 p.m.Lucile was born on Jan. 30, 1919. She resided in Alaska for many years. In retirement, she enjoyed traveling, golfing and spending time with family, friends and the Iditarod fairies. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.Lucile's love for her family, generosity and kind hearts was an inspiration to her loved ones. She lived life with integrity and bravery.Lucile is survived by her brother, John Ross Crosby of New Jersey; Niece, Jeanette (Michael) Ostasz of Tennessee; niece, Sharon (Jack) McQuire of Florida; niece, Beverly (Bill) Harclerode of New Jersey; niece, Janis (Bill) Poinsett of New Jersey; nephew, John Crosby of Florida; niece, Vicki Crosby of Florida; nephew, Ron (Catherine) Hillard of Florida; nephew, Don Hillard of Florida; nephew, Ralph (Jean) Crosby of Florida; and nephew, Don Crosby of Georgia; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.The family asks that donations be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.At a later date, there will be a memorial service in Vero Beach, Fla.
