Miller, Herbert C.Feb 13, 1930 - Nov 28, 2018Herbert C. Miller, 86, of Venice, FL, passed away on November 28, 2016. He was born on February 13, 1930. Formerly of Esperance, NY and Syracuse, NY, he retired to Venice, FL in 2001. He was a veteran of the Korean War as an SK1 in the Coast Guard. He retired from the military and went on to make his career in Syracuse working for New Process Gear and Alcan (Novelis). He had a deep love of baseball, which stemmed from his years playing minor league baseball in Schenectady, NY. He was a beloved husband, father, and friend to all that knew him. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Janet Lou Miller of Venice, FL, son Daniel Bishop Miller (Erin) of Syracuse, NY, and daughter Stacey-Leigh Dupee (Jamie) of Brewerton, NY. A Memorial gathering will be held on Friday, December 2, 2016 from 2-4 p.m. at Kays, Ponger, and Uselton Family of Funeral Homes, 1935 Tamiami Trail South, Venice, FL 34293.
