. OSHKOSH - Herbert (Herb) H. Clark, Jr, 88, died peacefully on Monday, December 31, 2012 at Mercy Medical Center. He was born on October 28, 1924 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, the son of Herbert and Marjorie Clark. Herb married Phyllis Heisinger, the love of his life in 1949. She preceded him in death in 1981. He graduated from High School in Oshkosh and from Purdue University. He worked for Modine Manufacturing and Prudential Insurance in Racine, Wisconsin and was proud of his service in WWII having fought in the Battles of the Bulge, Bastogne, and Ardennes. He committed his life to Jesus Christ at the age of 83. He is survived by his loving daughters Susan Clark of Madison, Wisconsin, Cathleen (Walter) Smark of Newport News, Virginia and grandchildren Phyllis A. Smark and Stephen J. (Laura) Smark of Virginia, sister Jeanne Shiras of Oshkosh, and very special nieces and nephew. Private family services will be held.
