Homer O. (Bud) Sams Jr.79, formerly of Cicero, Indiana, passed away peacefully Sunday, December 11, 2016 after fighting Parkinson's for many years. He was born on August 30, 1937 in Coral Gables, Florida to Homer O. and Helen Sams.Bud graduated Park School in 1955 (Became Park Tudor in 1970) and Hanover College in 1959. Founding management team of Sams Technical Institute that became ITT Technical Institute in 1966. He was the owner of Compolith Graphics a prepress service known for its unique marketing and engineering talents. After the sale of the business in 1984 he served as an agent for Mass Mutual Insurance for a few years before returning to publishing as VP Catalog Division for MacMillan Publishing, Inc. Bud then returned to his love and passion in sales joining Maury Boyd & Associates, Inc. for many years before he retired in 2008. Served six years (1960-1966) in the Air Force Reserves, member of various religious, social and trade associations. Hobbies included golf, numismatics, and wood working.He is survived by former wives Constance Jo Morley and Barbara Duke Sams, sons James Andrew (Lillian), Paul Edward (Sherri) and daughter Kimberly Ann (Andy) and grandchildren Brian, Kristin, Phoebe, Allison, Sophie, and Audrey.In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the .
